Welcome to Heritage Bank!

Coming April 25, 2012
Single Sign on for Consumer Bill Pay Users

An easier way to access consumer Bill Pay will be available on April 25, 2012.
When implemented, you will be able to sign on to your internet banking account, and access both your online banking and your Bill Pay accounts without having a separate log on for Bill Pay. The security of a dual sign-on process will still be there to protect your personal information, but you will only need to sign on once. The only access ID number and password you will need is the one you are currently using to access your online banking. Your access ID number and password will not change.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

For more information, contact your local Heritage/Farmers branch, or our main office at 859-586-9200

NOTICE OF CHANGES IN TEMPORARY FDIC INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR TRANSACTION ACCOUNTS.

All funds in a "non-interest bearing transaction account" are insured in full by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation from December 31, 2010 through December 31, 2012.  This temporary unlimited coverage is in addition to, and separate from, the coverage of at least $250,000 available to depositors under the FDIC's general deposit insurance rules.

The term "non-interest bearing transaction account" includes a traditional checking account or demand deposit account on which the insured depository institution pays no interest.  It also includes Interest on Lawyers Trust Accounts ("IOLTAs").  It does not include other accounts, such as traditional checking or demand deposit accounts that may earn interest, NOW accounts, and money market deposit accounts.

For more information about temporary FDIC insurance coverage of transaction accounts visit www.fdic.gov.

What You Need To Know about Overdrafts and Overdraft Fees and your ATM and DEBIT CARDS

An overdraft occurs when you do not have enough money in your account to cover a transaction, but we pay it anyway.  We can cover your overdrafts in two different ways:

  1. We have standard overdraft practices that come with your account.
  2. We also offer overdraft protection plans, such as a link to another account or a line of credit, which may be less expensive than our standard overdraft practices.  To learn more, ask us about these plans.

This notice explains our standard overdraft practices.
What are the standard overdraft practices that come with my account?
We do authorize and pay overdrafts for the following types of transactions:

  • Checks and other transactions made using your checking account number
  • Automatic bill payments

We will not authorize and pay overdrafts for the following types of transactions without your consent.

  • ATM transactions
  • Everyday debit card transactions

We pay overdrafts at our discretion, which means we do not guarantee that we will always authorize and pay any type of transaction.
If we do not authorize and pay an overdraft, your transaction will be declined.
What fees will I be charged if Heritage Bank pays my overdraft?
Under our standard overdraft practices:

  • We will charge you a fee of up to $30.00 each time we pay an overdraft
  • Also, if your account is overdrawn for 7 or more consecutive business days, we will charge an additional $5.00 per day beginning on the 8th business day.
  • There is a limit of $150 per day on the total fees we can charge you for overdrawing your account

What if I want Heritage Bank to authorize and pay overdrafts on my ATM and everyday debit card transactions?
If you want us to authorize and pay overdrafts on ATM and everyday debit card transactions, call (859) 586-9200, or complete the form below and send it through our secure website, present it at a branch or mail it to: 1818 Florence Pike, P.O. Box 357 Burlington, KY 41005. You can revoke your authorization for Heritage Bank to pay these overdrafts at any time by any of the above methods (However, to revoke your authorization on our website you must use our “contact us” link which is not a secure site and is not recommended). Your revocation must include both your name and your account number(s) so that we can properly identify your account.
