IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING YOUR ATM AND DEBIT CARDS

Recent Federal Regulatory changes that affect new ATM and Debit card overdraft transactions will become effective on July 1, 2010.  This regulatory change does not affect existing cardholders until August 15th.  In order to continue the overdraft flexibility that your ATM and Debit cards currently provide, you must “Opt-In”.  For your convenience we are offering several methods by which you can “opt-in”.  You may choose to “opt-in” by clicking on the secure link below and completing and submitting the form.  You may also “opt-in” by completing and submitting the notification letter that we will send to you, via phone or in person at any of our local offices.  In order to help you better understand these changes a letter will be mailed to our deposit customers on or about June 15th.  If, however, you would like immediate assistance and further details about these changes, please feel free to contact any Heritage Bank branch office. HERITAGE BANK IS PARTICIPATING IN THE FDIC's TRANSACTION ACCOUNT GUARANTEE PROGRAM. The standard FDIC insurance amount has been raised permanently to $250,000. per depositor. HERITAGE BANK is participating in the FDIC'S TRANSACTION ACCOUNT GUARANTEE PROGRAM. Under that program, through DECEMBER 31, 2010, all transaction accounts earning 0.25% or less are fully guaranteed by the FDIC for the ENTIRE AMOUNT in the account.  Effective January 1, 2011 this fully guaranteed amount will only apply to non-interest bearing transaction accounts.  Coverage under the Transaction Account Guarantee Program is in addition to and separate from the coverage available under the FDIC's general deposit insurance rules.
